Understanding Herbal Abortion in Practice: Exploring A Place for Herbal Abortion in Clinical Herbalism with the Authors
Curious about research on herbal abortion? Join Ember Peters, daena horner, Cheré Suzette Bergeron, Amanda Jokerst, and Molly Dutton-Kenny to discuss their recently published work A Place for Herbal Abortion in Clinical Herbalism in the Journal of the American Herbalists Guild. The piece takes a look at 7 successful herbal abortions from an informed, thoughtful perspective to analyze what worked, why it worked, and what we can learn from these experiences.
In this two-part workshop, we will explore a history and some context of herbal medicine for abortion, as well as take a look at modern practices from skilled providers. We will also look in depth at our shared publication, analyze the case studies together, and review some unpublished data of unsuccessful herbal abortions in comparison. We will also look at how one can build safe community around these practices and bring the plants into their own work in support of abortion and liberation.

A little glimpse of life lately: celebrating the convergence of my birthday x strawberry season by visiting my beloveds Lin, Dee, + Bagamwewekamigishkamookwe for pow wow weekend in Gaa-Miskwaabikaang (Red Cliff). This was me greeting the sunrise over Lake Superior on a clear, crisp, + dreamy morning.
Will this be offered another time? I work full time and can't attend this session.
